Mask care
The washing and drying process should be as follows:
Washing and disinfection at 60º, performing a complete washing cycle (wetting, washing, rinsing) using the usual detergent.
Contact between the dirty mask and clean clothes should be avoided.
The person in charge of washing it must protect themselves when handling the dirty masks (use of gloves).
Do not use products that may degrade or damage the mask materials and reduce their protective capacity.
It is recommended that the mask be completely dry within 2 hours of washing.
Do not use if it is wet or dirty.
Do not dry or sanitize with a microwave oven.
Both during drying and in the subsequent storage of the mask, environments where the masks can become contaminated again should be avoided.
After each wash cycle, a visual inspection should be performed (remembering to wear protective gloves or wash your hands). If any damage is detected on the mask (reduced fit, deformation, wear, etc.), the mask should be discarded.
For reasons of comfort and hygiene, it is recommended not to wear the mask for more than 4 hours.
If it becomes damp or deteriorates from use, it is recommended to replace it with another one.
The mask should be washed every time it gets dirty, damp, or cannot be put on correctly.
Mask removal
Masks should be disposed of in a container lined with a plastic bag (preferably with a lid and hands-free operation). It is recommended to use a double bag to protect the contents of the first bag in case the outer bag tears.
